New Year’s Eve 2023 falls on a Sunday. Hollywood Casino and Mountaineer are hosting promotions on NYE as well as throughout December. Mountaineer is also holding New Year’s Day drawings. Mardi Gras and Wheeling Island have promotions throughout the month. However, the Greenbrier does not have any casino promotions listed on its website.
West Virginia casino promotions include drawings, gift giveaways, blackjack tournaments, and more. Most promotions require contestants to be rewards club members and present to win. Some allow additional drawing entries to be earned using a players card. A couple of promotions require a previous taxable jackpot to qualify. Hollywood Casino at Charles Town Races New Year’s Eve drawings
Multiple casino promotions will be held at Hollywood Casino at Charles Town Races to end 2023. On Wednesday, December 27, there is a holiday slot tournament. Held from 4pm until 8pm, players need 15 tier points to qualify. The top prize is $2,500 in cash.
The drawing on Thursday, December 28 is for players who won taxable jackpots throughout the month. Participants have a chance to win up to $10,000 in cash.
Two exclusive drawings take place on Friday, December 29. Penn Heroes members earn entries throughout the month for a chance to win up to $1,000 in slot play. Additionally, participants receive a complimentary appetizer at the sportsbook. This drawing takes place from 5pm until 8pm.
The second drawing is for players who won a taxable jackpot in 2023. Qualifying players have a chance to win $15,000 in cash. The drawing takes place from 6pm until 10pm.

December promotions at Mardi Gras Casino
While Mardi Gras Casino is not hosting any New Year’s Eve promotions, multiple promotions are held for December. Through December 5, players can earn $10 in slot play while helping donate to Toys of Tots Sunday through Thursday. Players need to earn 200 points to qualify.

Alternate New Year’s Eve celebration plans
Safely going out to celebrate the end of 2023 and the beginning of 2024 requires planning. While staying at the celebration location is best, it is not always possible.
